We are excited to continue our mission of empowerment along with promoting networking, community, and amazing science! We welcome allies to join in making organic chemistry more inclusive.

EWOC 2025 will take place on Thursday and Friday,

June 12 and 13, at AbbVie in Chicago Illinois

Day 1 – Thursday, June 12, 2025, will be virtual (optional viewing space for Meet Our Sponsors sessions at Lincolnshire Marriott Resort).
Day 2 – Friday, June 13, 2025, will be hybrid with on-site and live streaming from AbbVie
Registration Fees:
Students/Postdocs/Trainees = $10 for Virtual Only; $30 for Hybrid in-person
All others = $50 for Virtual Only; $150 for Hybrid in-person

Poster Abstract Submission

The POSTER SESSION will be IN-PERSON on Fri, June 13, at AbbVie, Chicago, IL, USA. The Poster Abstract Submission window will close on Friday, May 9, 2025.

*Each presenter may only submit one poster abstract.

*The number of posters is limited.

*Abstract acceptances will be emailed by Monday, May 19, 2025. At that time, you will be provided with more information about poster preparation (poster size, etc).

*Space is limited at EWOC 2025; you must register for the conference before you submit your abstract. If your poster abstract is not submitted, you can change or cancel your registration for a full refund.

To submit an abstract for the EWOC 2025 poster session:

1) Register for EWOC 2025 here. If there are not remaining seats in “Hybrid/In-Person for Poster Presenter”, you may select “Hybrid In-Person.” The cost will be the same and you will still receive the link to submit an abstract.

2) Prepare your poster abstract using the template on the last page of this document.

3) Save your abstract as a pdf. Name your pdf as LASTNAME-FIRSTNAME-EWOC.pdf

4) Submit your abstract at the link provided in your Registration Confirmation email.

5) You will be notified by Monday, May 19, 2025, if your abstract has been accepted.

Depending on availability of funds, EWOC seeks to reimburse travel costs for students and postdoctoral researchers who present a poster. If you plan to apply for travel reimbursement, please save all receipts and be sure to submit your poster abstract. EWOC will reimburse up to 75% of travel costs (hotel, transportation, registration), but not exceeding $1000 for students and postdocs presenting posters.
